DEACONESSES
The Deaconess Ministry assists the Pastor and the Deacons in the administration of the ordinances of the church (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper) and in ministering to sick or shut-in.
GREETERS
Greeters make guests and members feel at home. From the door to the Narthex to a seat in the sanctuary, their mission is to assist and meet needs in preparation for worship.

PRAYER MINISTRY
At Mt. Olive, we believe in the power of prayer. God calls us to praise and thank Him for who He is. He tells us He will hear from heaven our prayers and respond to us if we will humble ourselves and ask Him through prayer. If you have a prayer need, you may submit a request online or call wth your concerns at (865) 251-161601.
USHER MINISTRY
Ushers greet worshippers entering the sanctuary, escort them to their seats, distribute bulletins/materials related to the service, receive/deliver offerings, maintain order and decorum through out the Sanctuary, and be alert for any emergency that may arise, relieving the need or contacting proper assistance.
Individual ministries are scheduled as listed below:
- 1st Sunday -- Women’s #1 Usher Ministry
- 2nd Sunday -- Youth Usher Ministry
- 3rd Sunday -- Women's #2 Usher Ministry
- 4th Sunday -- Men's Usher Ministry
- 5th Sunday -- Rotation
WELCOME COMMITTEE
The Welcome Ministry greets and acknowledges visitors during the Sunday Morning Worship Services to ensure that they feel "at home" and are encouraged to participate more fully in the services.
WORSHIP COUNCIL
Develop worship leaders spiritually, musically, dramatically and technically to effectively: 1) Lead God’s people in spirit-filled worship and 2) Communicate salvation to the lost and encouragement and exhortation to the believer!
